“Benazir Bhutto assassinated.” I read the news while doing my daily shcedule to check Press Agencies. Later i searched to see what’s political Analysis on this event.
It was interesting for me that how most of them, think this event just has its infeluance on Pakistan’s atmosphere and they ignored what will be the general result in the Middle East. I try to analyse this event from some other sides that concern whole muslim countries in the Mid East.
Beside her death, some other events happened that may be interesting to mention here:
1. On Tuesday Talabani was asked by a journalist during a televised conference whether the treaty of Iran-Iraq’s border was still in force. He replied:” This treaty has been voided by the current government. This was a treaty between Saddam and the shah and not a treaty between Iraq and Iran.”
Anyway later Iraq said on Thursday it had not repudiated a 32-year-old border treaty with Iran, despite a declaration by Iraqi President Jalal Talabani that the accord over which the countries waged a decade of war was now void. I must mentioned that more than 1 million people died in the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980s, triggered by disputes over the two countries’ border.2. Nowadays you can see how much Egyptians are worried about Iraqi immigrants who are selling their lands in Iraq to Americans and immigrate to Egypt. They all have Dollars in their hands and has made everything very expensive. This selling Iraq’s lands to Americans can just make us abit suspicious about goals behind this new plan.

Benazir Bhutto died. But who are winners? Of course there will be no peace in Pakistan anymore. Political Atmosphere in Pakistan is not kind of safe and healthy one. Since now there will be predicted more and more protests, riots, violance and suicide attacks. Like what happened after Bhutto’s father, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s execution.
Along side the event, Parweez Musharraf will lose power on part of Pakistan’s provinces which don’t spend their peaceful days. Such as Balouchistan.
Is this event, and events related to a start to divide Iraq and Pakistan into pieces and make a Free Balouchistan and Free Kurdistan? Is this event and events related to a start to attack to Iran?
Is this event and events related to that happens nowadays, in the direction of fulfilling Greater Middle East map -also here you can see the map- which was announced by US government since years ago?
Nobody exactly knows who will be the winner in Benazir Bhutto’s death. We have to wait and see the results. Yet indeed it is an alarm for whole Muslim World.
P.S: Muslim Matters, iMuslim, Ammar , Bosnian Leila and Unique also announced this news!

I have no idea how does the life flows there and I’m raised to express self through judging what I read. Person you mention was the warrior of her own choice and knew herself to be mortal, therefore accepting her death at the right time to happen is only thing I can do now. Considering love to be the whirl, it seems to me that response to that news brings global unity of good will among folks of many different religions. If peace is the choice than once found within, cannot be taken away by the worries outside.

Yes! . . . Yes! . . . and Yes! . . .

Leila and Unique, Ameen for your dua..
filipmoroz, Rioting has been started in Pakistan. I think your wish about a raising love after this attack in this wild world is going to be just a dream..
Metin, I too think the answer is YES

Watch and see: In the next few days, if not hours, the talk will switch to: ‘We need to make sure the nuclear arsenal doesn’t get into the wrong hands.’
When in fact, the U.S. and others pressured Musharraf to relax the martial law restrictions . . . the same people who are accusing Musharraf of not doing enough to fight the ‘War on Terror.’
hmmm . . .
We need the women of Islam to rise up and stop this man-made plan in its tracks . . . and embarrass the so called ‘moderate’ men by not doing so themselves . . .
he who is loudest is getting heard the most . . . even though the extremists represent a fraction of (real) Islam . . .

There are plenty of dreams and choice of believing in violent or the peaceful one is up to a person. Some places are free of war, already growing spiritually on other frequencies. Internet is quite fun place allowing all those dreams existing parallel to each other. Be happy.

Interesting discussion here. I like your focus on the immediate localized regions…much of the American Press has been putting their obvious slant on it.
Here’s my take on Bhutto’s assassination:

what we should think right now is the people of pakistan..
a lot of person who want to take a chance in the death of bhutto. who will be the person that lead her party?? will he be trust by all the people. it’s very sad to know that one of high class women is killed. may she rest in piece.

Bhutto death is a great loss to the struggle for democracy throughout the entire world.
December 28, 2007 at 8:12 am
May Allah bless her soul and grant her peace. Ameen.
Ya Haqq!
December 28, 2007 at 8:57 am
I was shocked, and felt sad for her, why?
Why in the world every Islamic and Arabic country try Democracy system, end by violence…WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHY.
Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, and now Pakistan.
you know why, i feel that we have to focus on people change rather than poltical change.
how can give democracy for people prevent their girls to go to school by the name of Islam, and Islam it self force each Muslim to seek knowledge and make that a duty.

Now watch how things will develop until the UN is brought in to confiscate Pakistan’s atomic arsenal and Pakistan gets divided.
December 28, 2007 at 10:48 am
Metin, “We need to make sure the nuclear arsenal doesn’t get into the wrong hands.”
Good point. I think they will go for it, this Americans!!
filipmoroz, “some places are free of war”. Yes bcs they make war in other places
David Schleicher, I will read your article. I checked those american media. None of them pointed US as cause of this attack. But i do say that it was just US plan!!
Regina, people of pakistan need to use their brain. Otherwise lose their homeland! Not alot of people get chance by her death. Only US benefit on her death is enough for another war in the world! If pakistanis continue rioting, then we just have to say:”Bye Pakistan; Forever!”
amberb4, what is meaning of Democracy exactly?! I dont see any place in the world which care about it. Even “so called” free west..
darvish, ameen for your dua
Aloush, This word of democracy is something made by west to suck blood of eastern countries. For they dont care about it.. Just use it to rule Mid East.
I dont believe kind of mottos. Her death is part of bigger games..
Xavier, Good point. I was thinking about it. Events nowadays are too related to each other. Means there is “one” hand behind all these stories. “US of A”..
December 28, 2007 at 3:27 pm
Not to piss anyone off but i am not atall sad. I am a Pakistani and truely, my Country is burning, but we have all been here before. My country went to the brink of default because of her and a certain Mr. Sharif.
And women thinking that a pious woman has died would like to know that she was anything but pious. Robbing a country blind twice, quashed the hope and dreams of 14 bilion people and accumulated wealth over 700 million pounds(property like Surrey Mansion and estates in Normandy NOT included) can hardly be considered pious.
December 28, 2007 at 3:33 pm
Osama, it seems you got my article wrong. I spoke about events that is happening after her death. Nobody judged her here as a pios woman.
You be happy or not, Pakistan is getting demolished..
It seems nowadays people leave comments without reading the post
December 28, 2007 at 3:40 pm
I did read the post and i apologize if i got it wrong, but its my country. i know. i happened when Bhutto was hanged and now its happening again.
we will survive and reover. we always do

Osama, I hope. We want pakistanis to do it. For sake of whole muslim world
December 28, 2007 at 6:18 pm
My dearly beloved Shahrzad,
You are the winner of this sort of assassination. You and your much admired MUSLIM.
Your hypocrisy and Pharisaism.
May GOD bless you.
December 28, 2007 at 6:25 pm
Mr Cyrus Elahi, In my dictionary hypocrites are those who pay the needy to assassinate and next day they show up with tears in their crocodile eyes mourning the dead.. am sure you got the point..
December 28, 2007 at 6:51 pm
“Who Are The Winners?”
The Council on Foreign Relations, the CIA, U.S. defense contractors, Al Qaeda, Caliphate expansionists, and MIckey Mouse.
December 28, 2007 at 7:33 pm
Now word comes out that there were no bullets or shrapnel found on her body. Why was there no autopsy done?
Could it be that the perpetrator was one of her trusted guards, possibly inside the vehicle??
Is Al-Qaeda a code word for a CIA operation gone awry??
Will her death be in vain???
Will Musharraf be next . . . if the violence and turmoil dies down in a few days . . .???
December 28, 2007 at 7:48 pm
Metin,
my problem is Al Qaeda didnt announce officially as they do always when they are responcible for kind of attacks.
It happens that one of her trusted gaurd did shoot on her. But the suicide attack was from outside the car.
Her death of course has benefit for a “certain” group. I think even her coming back after 8 years exile was part of game.
About musharraf it depends:
If he handle the situation and make the rioting silent, then it is possible for him too.
But if he doesnt handle, then no need for any attack to him.
December 28, 2007 at 9:58 pm
A Big question “?” for Pakistan politics.
December 28, 2007 at 11:31 pm
Sad!
December 29, 2007 at 10:43 am
Autopsy want done because the husband, Asif AliZardari didnt want it to be done. Rioting has eased a little.
December 29, 2007 at 1:05 pm
Osama, Alhamdulillah. Do you live in Pakistan right now? So Tell us about atmosphere directly from there. Honestly, am very tired of Media!!
December 29, 2007 at 8:09 pm
Most likely is an inside job.
December 29, 2007 at 8:57 pm
Sumera, You know? Leaders in the Middle East are dependent to west, most of them to US. They dont do any job on their own. So even if we accept the idea of an inside job, then again it has a hand behind from outside the country..
December 29, 2007 at 9:33 pm
Sumera: Good observation . . .
btw, shouldn’t she be partly to blame for her own death, if she’s riding standing through the sunroof of her car, open and exposed, instead of some popemobile-like vehicle? a death wish? maybe her way of paying back (with her life) to her country for all that she took? and maybe this will remove and relieve her in the after-life? ‘closure’ so to speak . . .
December 29, 2007 at 9:41 pm
Metin, Mulla Umar of Al Qaeda said officilly that they didnt kill her. She has a letter in her last days that says if she be killed, Musharraf is responsible for her death.
“maybe this will remove and relieve her in the after-life?”
Regarding to her crimes during her persidental era, how about those people who were killed and are killed in Pakistan with her and bcs of her? Isnt she resposible for those innocent murders?
December 29, 2007 at 11:58 pm
Shahrzad: What makes you think the Taliban is part of Al-Qaeda?
No one is as innocent as they seem . . . not even collateral damage . . .
I am sure we all have sins we should ask for forgiveness on . . . I myself try to avoid public gatherings . . .
December 30, 2007 at 12:07 am
I meant Mulla Umar of Al Qaeda. But i mistook to write in comment. I think whether they be part of each other, or separated, they are not self-organized groups. Maybe in lower stages they be just some brain-washed extrimist people. But their leaders… I see that they are more beneficial for those who pretend to be their enemy
She died and nw i just can pray her to be forgiven of course. But she did die intended? No i dont believe this..
