I just found these fotos of President Ahmadinejad and his family at his little house in Narmak, Eastern Tehran. Interesting.
He has 3 children, 2 sons and one daughter. His daughter and one of sons are studying Engineering (Electronics?!) and the other son is highschool student. His wife is a teacher and researcher.
Here is his official site. Every now and then, He is a blogger too!

He is definately an interesting guy..
March 27, 2008 at 2:57 am
what simple living!
March 27, 2008 at 1:29 pm
Miss Muslimah, Yes he is interesting!
Achelois, You know, even if i so disagree with many of his statements, but his simple life means he is not bad person. He is just abit radical religious.
March 27, 2008 at 1:38 pm
It is important to understand that the view we are presented of Ahmadinejad through western Media is very skewed. I do not doubt that he is radical in many of his views, but he is honestly struggling to give more to his people. The fact that his government supports terrorism is very possible, but we only have the current administrations word for it. Let’s not forget our current administrations claims about Iraq’s WMD. I have met many Iranians, and the majority truly like him and are proud of the fact that he stands up to the USA, no small feat mind you.
March 27, 2008 at 1:49 pm
Zhann, You’re mosly right. He is radical indeed, but nowadays most iranian families do not live as simple as him. Even many radical religious people have a very modern life.
Anyway i dont agree they support terrorism in Iran. Bush and his supporters are cause of terrors around the world. Nobody can name a nation or country that Iran has attacked them by Army. But just since 9/11, you see that US army demolished two countries and killed millions! (till now)
March 27, 2008 at 2:41 pm
what does mean radical? if insisting on legal rights is radicalism i love it indeed!
to be lamb or not to be this is the matter
March 27, 2008 at 3:01 pm
Kowthar, I dont mean insisting on legal rights. I meant He is part of a group that their personal religious views of Islam is exterem. Dr Larijani and Dr Ghalibaf are religious too. But moderate..
March 27, 2008 at 3:58 pm
He has spunk and he lives by modest means and hes a PRESIDENT and everyone knows Iran has many grandeurs.. I like him.. I admire his spunk!
I agree with Zhann completely.. we only have the western media’s word for it and we can question their authenticity, they’ve been wrong before, and if he has strong views in terms of religion, does that make him a terrorist who goes out and kills people? I doubt he does such stuff.. being stern and strict doesnt make a person psychotic.. well I hope not anyway!! He’s a interesting guy with lotsa passion!
March 27, 2008 at 7:16 pm
he’s a true follower of Ahl-e-Bait! His modest living is an example to every Muslim ruler.
how proud are Iranians of the President Shahrzad?
March 27, 2008 at 7:22 pm
supersizeme, You made good points.
Ammar, I just would like him to be abit more “handsome” and change some stupid laws too.
March 27, 2008 at 8:17 pm
this is fact that has expressed in holy Quran:
“Neither the Jews nor the Christians will ever be satisfied with you until you follow their sect. SAY:” God’s guidance means [real] guidance!” If you followed their whims after the knowledge which has come to you, you would not have any patron nor supporter against God.”(2-120)
and imam Ali (a.s) says “reality is bitter”
i agree whith whole of ahmadinejad opinions, but i think he must states them a bit smoother. yet if he become successful to impose his policy on westerners he will become a big hero in iran history like Amirkabir. i do know it is somehow imposible but “nemishe vali agaeh beshe chi misheh”
one day my dughter said to me it is hatred to read iran contemporary history, especially in recent 200 years and i hope we make a good one for future generations.
March 27, 2008 at 8:25 pm
kowthar, Foreign policy is OK. But hw about wt he did inside Iran? Inflation is more than 25% now. Life is getting very difficult for many “middle” class Iranians.
They made many mistakes in economical decisions I dont agree with what he did inside country. In last 5 months, the price of houses and lands become manifold (6 or 7). Poor is getting poorer and rich is getting richer. It’s not good!
March 27, 2008 at 10:42 pm
if he be honest in his claims i’m sure God will help him to solve the proplems in remaining time of his presidential.
i think high price of oil is a good sign.
“en tansoroallah yansorkom”
March 27, 2008 at 11:22 pm
Kowthar, Putting oil money on every Iranian’s dinner table? Umm!
March 28, 2008 at 11:00 am
one of my relative who works in an economic office, allways prorests A.N finantcial programs and believes he is doing disaster to iran economy, when i asked him why A.N is standing on his feet likewise, he answered: high price of oil; he repairs his gaffes just by money!
i mean that not what you said, however oil money has ramped out of dinner table to streets (purchaseing more than 1.500.000 vehicles in just one year) and has spurted to sky; horrible building making!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
where do you live now? iran? if so you can get easily what i mean.
good year
March 28, 2008 at 12:33 pm
Kowthar, I live in Iran and unfortunately i came to be a journalist too!! He wasted oil money in some stupid ways and just alittle group are doing very well now. You just need to go to Education ministry and see what a hell is there. I know kind of people very well. They live in their dreamland and never accept the reality. Like the mottos he announced and nothing happened! I am not going to trust him for next presidential election..
March 28, 2008 at 8:11 pm
I remember when he was at Columbia University last year in New York City and of the whole interview, the US media was on him about the mistranslation of homosexuality. In this country, our media gives the ideal that if you are not “tolerant of gays”, you are intolerant bastard. The funny thing is, you are supposed to be tolerant, but we cannot be tolerant towards people who hold more conservative — traditional to be exact — views and beliefs.
My classmates in my third-year high school history class made fun of me because I refuse to side along with how Bush and his advisers saw people like Ahmadinejad, Castro (former leader of Cuba), Chavez (leader of Venezuela), and other leaders like them.
I think our current administration is imperialistic and mercantilistic, personally. Aye, while I am not for how these terrorists are trying to get rid of American troops — whom I believe should be back home, not out in Asia — I know of a saying that tells how while we see them to be terrorists, for others they are actually freedom-fighters.
I really do not know if republican democracy can work in some of the more traditional Islamic countries. Your people are much more tribal, if I am correct, while my people are more individualistic. If I am wrong, sorry…just tell me and I’ll improve for the better.
March 28, 2008 at 8:12 pm
P.S. His sons are very attractive.
March 28, 2008 at 8:29 pm
Ooh.. I wanna see them now!
I generally have a problem with Iranian men though.. they seem obnoxious, well actually I have a problem with all men. Haha!
Oops my bad, I shouldnt stereotype, hence sound ‘intolerant’.
March 29, 2008 at 11:25 pm
Shahrzad:
I am wondering what is your purpose of showing these pictures to the world people. “. . . he has simple life . . . Very nice . . .” !!!!
He has destroyed the economy of Iran in 3+ years! I guess you are not in Iran to see that just housing price has doubled in less than a year.
People in the world need a hero to say no to a super stupid like Bush and he is doing that for the price of destroying Iran.
March 29, 2008 at 11:28 pm
Parsin, I guess you didnt read my comments here. Before judging me, better you read my words.
March 29, 2008 at 11:30 pm
Shahrzad wrote:
kowthar, Foreign policy is OK.
——————————
And as a journalist you should be aware that it is because of his foreign policy that we have so much problems inside the country!!!
March 29, 2008 at 11:38 pm
Parsin, Unfortunately it is NOT his foreign policity which made many problems in Iran. Now the oil money is much more than years ago, it means we have money for making industries. Bcs he wasted money in some stupid ways inside iran and it was cause of inflation.
I doubt if you know how many bastards inside Iran are happily stealing the wealth of the country.
March 29, 2008 at 11:57 pm
Shahrzad, I agree that his problems are more wider than just foreign policy, but in last 3 years he has pushed Iran into a corner. Many countries have imposed a type of sanction. And for many projects, they have to pay much more to get it done.
Yes, he has wasted the oil money on useless projects.
He has made a lots of problems for the people inside the country.
It is a shame that we ration our Gas!! While we have the third most oil reserves in the world. Iran also is no 2 in natural gas reserves!!
March 30, 2008 at 12:12 am
Parsin, Did you forget that Iran has been forced to be in corner since revolution?
Now i think even the foreign situation is somehow better. Khatami and Rafsanjani just left a big band of thieves in ministries to steal what they want freely. And NOBODY, exactly NOBODY can make their hands away. Like webs of spider! You never know..
March 30, 2008 at 12:58 am
Shahrzad,
I can not compare Khatami with the ignorant Ahmadinejad. Although I agree that our society is full of thieves. They are even more at this government. It is a matter of how the system could handle the problems! So one way is to let people to steal from each other. And big bands have been able to steal from the government.
This is a socio-economical problem. When you have an ill economy you should expect these things.
A student graduating from college is wondering how much he/she has to work to just survive in Iran. So there is a tendency toward corruption.
Some one was telling me they had to pay back about 70% of the contract to the client’s people in order to get the project!!!
The problems are dipper that one can imagine. …Webs of Spider . . . good definition! but who is out of these webs!!??
March 30, 2008 at 1:01 am
“deeper ” sorry!
March 30, 2008 at 1:05 am
Parsin, I had same idea as yours before i meet Khatami. BTW, i am out of that web! Alhamdulilah..
March 30, 2008 at 5:05 am
Interesting debate….
March 31, 2008 at 9:46 pm
I found this whole comment section very interesting. It’s true, President Ahmadinejad is portrayed as a potentially dangerous man here in the states. I however, take everything ANY government tells me w/ a grain of salt. What I do believe is that perhaps he does not lead the country w/ an accepting mind and heart. I should also add, our government lacks any heart. Here’s hoping that all changes w/ Obama or Hillary.
One thing is for sure, and that is that no one person or government can change an individual’s religious or non-religious beliefs, and no one can tell an individual who to fall in love with.
April 4, 2008 at 4:44 am
I liked the post, but I love the pictures; they speak volumes – both about life in Iran and about Ahmadinejad as a person.
May 15, 2008 at 2:01 am
To me the pictures show a typical traditional iranian family. Iranian families often split into a traditional and a western style family. So, to me, it’s not a problem at all to see Mr. Ahmadinejad in above position. I don’t accept his tone and his competence in his domestic as well as international politics. He is in one way road and I honestly don’t see how he gets out of it w/o bloodshed.
December 20, 2008 at 6:26 pm
He is one of the rare great leaders i have ever seen .
Not after anything but to keep his people happy . He is a pure example of true heros . living a normal simple life when he could have his own palace in every city in Iran.
December 28, 2008 at 11:34 am
May Allah (The Most High) shower His choicest blessings on the Iranian President, Ahmedinejad. he is such a great man .. a true symbol of honesty, courage and sincerity. I admire him ardently, and though I’m not Iranian, as a Muslim I’m so proud of him.
It’s truly sad that in today’s world appreciation is reserved only for thieves and debauches while the great ones are demonised with lies.

President of Iran is no doubt a person with missionary zeal .No doubt heis figthting with great valour against the satanic powers but it ‘s crystal clear that the opposite of his excellancy is more equiped by technology, economic development and most of arrogance of having evil genious. His messages to serve humanity if implemented objectively without self serving vested interest is a greart challenge for the whole race of humanbeings. |May God Bless him.Ameen.

It just proves that Ahmadinejad isn’t corrupt like the rest of the world leaders. Whatever ideas and believes he represents, he still an honest person. I respect that…

Under his rule Iran has progressed steadily. Today Iran has the world’s fastest growth rate in science and technology. Something Iranians can be proud of for a long time into the future. See Iran’s rankings in science here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_rankings_of_Iran#Science_and_technology

Ahmedinajad is my favourate political leader, and very simple living style.
January 12, 2011 at 7:37 pm
It’s sad that many folks’ comments on this great man are based only on the false picture portrayed by the West.
I think Ahmedinejad is the bravest leader in the world and the best president. Despite years of sanctions & isolation, Iran has progressed tremendously. This has been possible only for the sake of strong personalities like President Ahmedinejad. Such prolonged isolation would have shattered any other country. The spineless Arab leaders, pet donkeys of America, don’t even qualify to lace the boots of some like Ahmedi. Long live Ahmedi. I love you!!
January 22, 2011 at 1:53 am
For me he is one the greatest leaders of the world…
and being as a president of a country his simple living and dedication towards his country is telling that he is a great leader…
