He Sells His Wife!

http://www.aftabnews.ir/images/docs/n00075566-b.jpgLondon: A husband who accused his wife of having an affair with a colleague in her office took the ultimate online revenge - by placing her for sale on eBay.

Paul Osborn, from the UK, booted his wife Sharon from their home and listed her on the auction website, reports The Sun.

His description of a ‘lying, cheating, adulterous slag of a wife’ attracted worldwide attention with bids going as high as £500,100.

However, Sharon denies an affair and cops are now investigating Paul for harassment.

MoT inspector Paul, of Bletchley, Bucks, heard rumours in March that railways manager Sharon, his wife of 24 years, was having an affair with a man at work.

The 44-year-old said he had his wife’s extramarital affair confirmed when he read her emails. Source

P.S: I want to think opposite. How about man be a cheater? That’s how to get rid of cheater husband too? I saw some women really have to live in bad situation and keep silent even if their husband has affairs with other women.  When she resists, man may claim to say her that she is busy with children and can not satisfy him as much as he wants. Women have less opportunity to through a cheater man out the house. Most of them -esp those who dont work- dont have any other way but living and tolerating their husband’s affairs. Why  i see some women accept it easily for their man, but a man can not accept it? Any idea?

Because he deems his wife to belong to him, like a piece of property and therefore he has control over her body and her very being. She on the other hand,is a passive partner and is only there to tend to things. (see my latest post for the extract, it basically sums it up)

  2. Shahrzad Says:

Sumera, That’s the way most men and some women think about their husband. That relationship which comes to be controling, will end up somewhere in the journey.
But you know, i see some women really accept it for men to have affairs outside marriage.

I just commented on your post. :P

  3. Achelois Says:

Some women are made to believe that they deserve to be cheated. I feel so bad for such women. But I have also seen men being cheated on although that is far more rare. In any case a cheating man’s goods should be chopped and sold on eBay - the only problem is who’d want to buy the trash?!

  4. lwayswright Says:

Being cheated on hurts like nothing else and can cause people to do really dumb things. forgivness is the bestanswer for that whole situation!

  5. ~W~ Says:

Some women believe men are created polygamous.

  6. Aafke Says:

It is very strange that men always think women are property. The curse of our patriarchal cultures.
Ehm, I would consider my husband my property :) , and if he ever dared to look at another woman I’d put him into hospital :D

Achelois: Eeeehk! I’m not bidding!!! It’s nice to realise that I’m still mild and feminine compared to you!

If that description and photo got such a bid, I wonder what I would make??? I’m counting on seven digits at least. :D
Not to mention what a queenly story-teller would do on E-bay!!!

  7. Achelois Says:

S***! I was hoping no one finds out but … OK, I am a sadist and now everyone knows, no thanks to Aafke :D

  8. Shahrzad Says:

Haha, i think one has to put money on trash to sell it!!
I dont think aafke can dare me in femininity. Can she? Haha, she may guess how i behave cheaters.. :D

  9. Reuge Music Boxes Says:

Aafke, it’s strange how SOME woman see it the way you see it but most don’t. Face it, it’s a mans world just like James Brown once said. Things are the way they are and will be because that’s just how it is.

  10. Aafke Says:

I am for retribution, if only because it makes the victim feel a lot better, but of course next to Achelois and Shahrzad, this nordic Walkure is just a cute fluffy little kitten.

The thought of what Queen Shahrzad might do to a cheater chills even the mind of this B-movie-fan!

  11. Shahrzad Says:

You’re so humble sister Aafke. :D

  12. IGoByChad Says:

I don’t know why any woman will accept it. I don’t think anyone should have to accept it, and if your spouse is cheating on you, it’s unforgivable. An ebay ad is a little bitter to me, but I love it none the less.

  13. Maryam Says:

You are pretty right Shahrzad. That is mostly because a Man considers his wife as HIS piece of property, He has full right over her, but never the vice-versa.
I am not encouraging extra-marital affairs, but I am just nodding my head wth you … ;-)

  14. عمار - aMmAr Says:

Lets just establish the fact that people cheat irrespective of their genders. Yes some men have this wrong perception that if they cheat then its OK but if their spouse do the same then its blasphemy. But they aren’t alone in this or are they? He’s obviously cheating with another woman.

But unfortunately we concentrate either on cursing men or women that are involved in the act and dont rectify or point out the factors that play a good role in these act of cheat.

  16. wordsseldomsaid Says:

there is n reasn to cheat…if a person wishes to lay around, they should not get married…

and blaming the person that was cheated on is an unacceptable excuse,…

even if one is in a bad marriage, they should not cheat…

and about some women not being able to leave, is one reason i pray more parents encourage their daughters to get as much education as they can before marryng, so they will not be dependent on and stuck with some unfaithful man if it does not work out…

all cheating is bad,…it is selfish and hurtful behaviour and i believe people know long before the act of cheating that their marriage is in trouble, but they take the low road…and instead of working to fix it, they satisfy their own personal lust, sacrificing all trust their mate had in them, ruining their himelife, for a fun fling so they can…”feel”…wanted, or attractive, or just to have a good time…

if the marriage can not be reconciled, then they should have done the honorable thing and left first…

no one is allowed to cheat…male or female…

    now one more thing…

violence against a cheater will serve no purpose…the best action against them is to move one and find someone a little nicer looking, a little more successful and a lot more responsible with their relationships…

    and sheesh…don’t you wish i could spell?…

  18. Jersey Says:

Welcome to the world of American marriage and dating. :D

I have not had my first boyfriend until I was 20 and married him 6 mos. later. I waited very long, but I was rewarded with a type of lover that is most rare for my generation in this country. I am very very lucky and do not take any of it for granted.

  19. johnnypeepers Says:

Too many these days (both sexes) do not value the commitment of marriage. It is a matter of convenience, lust, and self-interest for many. Instead of a cooperative partnership - one with many difficult challenges to maintain - they view their partner as a disposable commodity. An upgrade is just around the corner.

  20. pistolpete Says:

    How awful!

  21. clickdev Says:

Whether a woman or man cheats it’s the same issue, I don’t understand why you would present the idea that it’s more difficult for a woman to leave a cheating man than the other way around. If the basis is that many women do not work in favor of staying home then that is a decision that was made, whether it’s the root of their cultural predestination or some other result, in this day and age it’s difficult to present the idea of the dominating man who’s woman has no way to divulge her oppression to the world. At least in the West, certainly in England.

Anyway, it clearly states here that she does work.

Much of the time the person who’s being cheated on will not want to admit it - change is hard, admitting to yourself that you’re being cheated on is also difficult.

Remember, men are scum and so are the women who date them. Only when we have a society run and decorated by rabbits will the Earth truly be free from the oppression of love!

  22. Ladybeams Says:

I’ve gotta say, this cracks me up. Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time! My momma told me once not to do anything you wouldn’t want the world to know. I guess that’s even more true now with the ability of the internet. If she was cheating on him, she’s lucky this is all that happened. Same goes for any man cheating.

  23. Wizard Prang Says:

There’s a lot of overreaction in this line of thought.

First, the auction was obviously against eBay’s Terms and Conditions.

Secondly, there is no way that the terms of the auction could be enforced.

Thirdly, “joke” auctions like this are posted every day. He was obviously trying to make a point, and in doing so, has probably killed any chance of a successful marriage with this woman - which makes him an idiot in my book. But the last time I looked, being an idiot was neither a crime nor rare.

Here’s a suggestion: Since you’re Iranian, what is the Iranian perspective? Let’s compare Marriages in Britain with those in Iran; which has the higher divorce rate (probably Britain)? Who has the happiest marriages (probably Iran)? Why? And why do Iranian marriages break up?

    Just a thought.

  24. Miss Muslimah Says:

Women are just as bad, maybe even worse! when it comes to deeming their spouses as property…..
this guy is nuts!putting his wife on ebay!!! Ya rabb!

  25. the antidote Says:

omg, this really caught my attention, what a shocking thing to do, I’m still in shock

  26. Dr SETI Says:

    Hi everyone,
Cheating is a sin according to our sense of humanity and all the religions. It’s against a trustful marriage and I think such a wrong behavior, must not be tolerated; at least it deserve a proper punishment.
