I am from Pakistan and working & living between Dubai / Saudi Arabia for last three years.

We have both checked documents lists required from Irani government (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and also my fiancee contacted the Government office in Tehran who gave her a list of documents. We have matched both lists and they are same.

I am now preparing documents on my side and she is preparing her documents. The documents then have to be submitted to Irani government in person by myself and my fiancee.

Then they will call me for an interview in 2 weeks (I have to stay in Iran during this time) and after that will take another 2 months to register / approve everything. I think the total process will take about 4-6 months, start to finish and we both have to wait.

I have contacted Iranian embassy in Pakistan and they asked me to contact Irani Foreign ministry and follow their process (that we are doing now).

If you have any other suggestions or know of any usual problems (rejection reasons) then please let me know.

It is important for us to have this registration as I am living in the Middle East and can only sponsor her when she has my name in her birth certificate / ID etc.

We are both preparing documents as listed on the website of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Iran and as soon everything is ready I will be visiting Iran for submission of these documents and an interview with the authorities.

Another clarification; do we have Nekah in Iran before we submit all documents for registration or do we have it after registration / approval?

I am Nauman, a Sunni Muslim from Pakistan. I have decided to marry my colleague in Iran and our families have agreed also. I would like your response on the following:

- Is it accepted in Iran if the Shia girl marry a Sunni guy?
- We are preparing all documents as required by Irani Ministry, however can you confirm I can marry her while I am on a visit visa in Iran?

Can you please tell me how did you manage to marry an Irani girl while you were Hindu? Because according to muslim law it does not allow that girl to marry non muslim guy.

The letter that shows he’s able to provide for her financially and he has a job (just by girl’s request)

- تعهد زوج مبنی بر پرداخت نفقه و بليط مراجعت زوجه و فرزندانش به ايران (درصورت درخواست زوجه)
commitment to pay her and her future children the Nafaghah and the ticket for visiting iran eventually (just by girl’s request )

اصل اجازه نامه رسمی ولی زوجه (در صورتی که ازدواج اول باشد)

since she is widow, she does not need that too

As i cant read farsi but according to my girl fried it also says that i need unmarried proof ,police clearance certificate .etc etc n ministry of iran affairs has informed her that when i produce these documents then after two months i get the permision of nikah..It is really a mindblowing law that for permision of nikah requires two months ..

But still i kept the courage to arrange those documents from here in uae from indian embassy .n what response i got for getting these documents please read it is intresting

For unmarried proof. i filled the sworn affidavit that m not married etc etc with my passport details ./then went before counsalte for attestation but as in my passport i dont ve beared .n they informed me either come in clean shave or change the picture of passport ….i went to passport section for changing picture of pasport their they informed me ,u get new passport n it takes approximately three months n better to go kashmir n get new passport there.

Non clearance certificate : they told me it also takes three months if u apply here n besides u need to get registration frm police …

Here there are all requirements for marrying a non-Iranian guy.. She will notice that most of them are with the request of woman.

Just a woman who has been unmarried before, needs the permission of Wali or parents.. But since she is a widowed, she does not need any permission. It’s not what i say. It’s what Iranian law says.
