Muharram is a significiant month in Islamic belief, the first month of the Islamic year and one of the four months of the year in which fighting is prohibited.
The Muharram 10 is a day which is respected by both Sunnis and Shi’as. Especially bcs of the Karbala incident around 1400 years ago and martyrdom of Hussain ibn Ali who raised against injustice of tyrant Yazid. (Here i wrote abour Ashoura rituals in Iran on Ammar blog)
It was a truely sorrowful Muharram for muslims. As many stated: “Gaza is true Karbala of today.”
Last night, after Ashoura rituals for Hussain Ibn Ali(A.S) and martyrs of Karbala in Iran, Iranian children gathered in Palestine square with their parents and lit candles in the memory of Hussains of today: Martyred children, women and civilians of Gaza.

This blog offers a glimpse into the life of an Iranian woman and her honest view on world affairs and issues which concerns her country, Iran.

souvenirsandscars, in Iran we do not have Sunni-Shi’a conflict as you get in other countries. Especially about Azeri shias and sunnis and Kurd sunni/shias, they have similar language and culture that’s what they rely on more often. We have many inersect marriages in Iran..

May Allah help those who are fighting for justice and survival against the Yazids of today. Prayers.
May Allah guide muslim governments who are scared of the message of justice and equality of Islam.

InshAllah ke khoob bashy Shahrzad. Thanks for your informative posts. I always look forward to them.
What is occurring is beyond comprehension. I never understood war, I truly cannot believe humans who have been gifted with a mind could ever come to such lows.
Humans who have been given hearts, how strong the hold of the devil on them. Donyaye mareezeye. InshAllah the savagery comes to an end soon.
