Dubai Guy, they use animal symbols in Iranian calendar too for each year. It’s not just chinese, it’s something related to ancient asian calendars at general. name of animals alittle differs in different calendars though..

Actually they say year of cow is year of prosperity, fertility and success, as the cow was for ancient people.. Good year at general inshallah

We didnt have Kebab yet for new year. But as for the custom of Nowruz, we had vegetable rice with fish.
