‘Nowruz’ Is About To Come

While exploring the Iranian media, i found these photos quite refreshing, specially for those Iranians who live abroad. Now probably every house in Iran is clean & shinny & Sabzeh* is grown.
I read on Wikipedia that in Afghanistan, Albania, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Iraqi Kurdistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan & Kosovo also they observe the arrival of spring, along with Uyghurs and Salars in China.

However, even if i was not an Iranian, i would really prefer spring to the cold freezing winter. Or maybe that’s just me; i love sandals more than boots!

I must admit that i’ve caught a bad cold just in last days of winter. By the way, my Sabzeh seems quite lame this year since i tried to grow green beans for the first time. I had to do it at least a week sooner & they don’t seem to grow enough until new year eve . Only 5 days to go and my Sabzeh needs a miracle!

Well, That’s how the sticky winter is going to finally ends. Doesn’t matter. Let it go. I can’t wait for Spring :P

* Sabzeh is wheat, barley, mung bean or lentil sprouts growing in a dish – In Iranian culture, it symbolises the rebirth

‘Liberalization’ in Iran: Politics, Economy and Culture

Based on his theory of Post-Industrialism, Famous American sociologist, Daniel Bell claims : “Politicion should be a socialist in economics, a liberal in politics, and a conservative in culture.”
This claim was result of his belief in characters of the post-industrial society. Unlike the industrial society, he believes that in a post-industrial society there should be a unity and convergence between the aspects of economy, politics and culture.

But the political and social changes and events leading to 21st century showed inefficiency of this theory and its lack of inclusion; As Bell confirms that he has lost some of his optimistic views toward it.

More than anything the experiance of The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics shows that there should be harmony between different dimensions of the society. One of the main reasons of the USSR’s collapse was the Liberal Reforms by Mikhail Gorbachev in politics (Glasnost) and economy (Perestroika).

If the Liberalization is considered as “removing the prior conservative limitations from the structure of the government”, then it would not be trumped up to review the procedure of liberalization in Iran and the governments after the Islamic Revolution. It is clear that the liberalization procedure should be monitored in the Iranian context and Islamic Republic’s system. Read the rest of this entry »

Behind Israel’s Fear Of Iran

Shahab 3Truth never works in the oil rich region, the Middle East. There are so much to be neglected by western media which seems to be intendedly trying to make a fuss to push a new war.
They pretty much ignore so many facts and try to mislead the public opinion away from the war crimes that western governments are committing in the world. They hide them behind real-time stories, this time Iran’s nuclear program.

I’ve read some critical articles on Jeffrey Goldberg’s long & misleading report and I noticed none of them really crossed what might be the truth and the real fears of Israel.

Iran’s nuclear program may not be the real thing that worries Israel. By now and with the help of NPT they are aware of what Iran has done.

They know that Iran does not have the technology of nuclear weapons yet. Otherwise the Tehran’s reactor which is used for the medical purpose was not being out of work for some months that the fuel would be getting ended. If a nuclear Iran is really going to worry Israel, it has to be a concern of longterm not a worry of today or tomorrow.

So what is it that making Israel so anxious? Arent they hiding some other intentions behind the fuss for Iran’s nuclear program?

My thoughts tell me the real worry of Israel about iran is not the nuclear program even if they bark about it, but Israel’s real concern is Iran’s defence missile technology and they try to hide this concern behind the fuss for nuclear program.
After all no nation is allowed to have the technology to ‘defend’ itself against  Zionist aggressors! Read the rest of this entry »
