‘Liberalization’ in Iran: Politics, Economy and Culture

Based on his theory of Post-Industrialism, Famous American sociologist, Daniel Bell claims : “Politicion should be a socialist in economics, a liberal in politics, and a conservative in culture.”
This claim was result of his belief in characters of the post-industrial society. Unlike the industrial society, he believes that in a post-industrial society there should be a unity and convergence between the aspects of economy, politics and culture.

But the political and social changes and events leading to 21st century showed inefficiency of this theory and its lack of inclusion; As Bell confirms that he has lost some of his optimistic views toward it.

US congressman: “There is no occupation in Gaza!”

Here is Scott Horton interview with Alan Grayson, Florida Congressman. Alan Grayson discusses his “War Is Making You Poor” bill that seeks to limit war spending and cut income taxes, how ending war spending on Afghanistan would free up enough money to eliminate federal taxes on income under 35k/year, why Israel’s blockade of Gaza is simply to keep Hamas from obtaining weapons and why the link between unconditional US support for Israel and 9/11 isn’t worth commenting on!

Just imagine if you replaced ‘Israel’ with ‘Iran’, What would be the reaction of US officials?!

Listen and enjoy!!

While i was behind the door ready to go, they stopped the Quran recitation meanwhile and Mr Hayati who was a young  news presenter at the time announced the news:”Today, ‘the spirit of God’* joint the supreme heavens.”
Mom started crying heavily, i sat right on the carpet in front of the door. Ayatullah Khomeini had passed away.
